London Engagement shoot | St Paul’s Cathedral

St Paul’s Cathedral is probably one of London’s most iconic and recognisable sights with its impressive architecture drawing attention from around the world. Did you know that St Paul’s Cathedral was the tallest building in London until 1963 with the massive dome standing tall and proud along the cities skyline? Even to this day the historic building enjoys legal protection in the city’s urban planning, preventing it from being obscured from prominent locations around London. As one of the most impressive and majestic sights it is hard not to love this iconic backdrop and I often get asked for photo shoots here. If you’re thinking of an engagement photo shoot or individual portrait shoot and love the idea of St Paul’s Cathedral feel free to reach out as I’d love to hear more!

When Shelly and Ruben got in touch and wanted to photograph by the cathedral I was more than up for it as that view never gets old! We even threw in a little extra by starting over at Covent Garden and London was even kind enough to let the sun come out!

I’d love to work together, so please feel free to get in touch here if you would like to find out more

We started off the shoot over at Neal’s Yard and Seven Dials market, a lively area in central London with plenty of vibrant colours to work with for some fun and cheerful photos!

Covent Garden was the next stop. Bustling with energy and people, we especially loved the garden displays scattered around the area. The mix of greenery in an urban space is always a welcome touch and makes for some great photo opportunities!

After a stroll around Covent Garden, the sun was really beginning to put on a show. We took this as our sign to make our move to St Paul’s Cathedral. Golden hour light, the impressive St Paul’s Cathedral as our backdrop and an amazing fun couple. Definitely a formula for a great afternoon out! I’ll let the remainder of the photos show just how amazing of a time we had at this classic London location.

Hope you enjoyed these photos and if you’re looking for a photo shoot similar to this, or have other ideas in mind I’d love to hear from you! Whether it’s a couples shoot to celebrate an engagement, a portrait photo for your profile picture, instagram, social media or just for your own memories I’d love to help you come up with the right idea together!
